As a Bilingual Paralegal fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Maldonado conducts country condition and legal research for asylum cases, communicates with clients, drafts correspondence, and works extensively on family and employment-based immigration cases.
Ms. Maldonado graduated from SUNY Fredonia with bachelor’s degrees in International Studies, Philosophy, and Spanish and a minor in Political Science. During her time at Fredonia, Ms. Maldonado played the part of lead attorney for the Fredonia Mock Trial team. She worked as a research assistant for Dr. Alexander Caviedes, Professor of Political Science and International Studies, where she examined immigration patterns in Spain. For her senior capstone project, Ms. Maldonado conducted research on the economic and social situation of Venezuela, her family’s country of origin, and traveled to Peru.
